What are the New Millennium Essences?
The New Millennium Essences of New Zealand started out as a very comprehensive range of flower
and gem essences, made in the same traditional way as laid down by Dr
Edward Bach in the 1930s, and, as such they still do fill this role.

However, the sum of what you see on this website is much more than a cutting-edge set
of flower essences.
The products and services on this website represent a genuine quantum jump into new territory,
far beyond the realms of what has traditionally been thought to be possible, into a new paradigm of
human healing and consciousness. The developers of the New Millennium Essences were deeply
dissatisfied with the status quo, they were dissatisfied with much of what passes for
“normal” in the world, and they were dissatisfied with their own lives.
They decided to do something positive about their dissatisfaction, and the results of
their labors are on this website.

Who are the people involved?
Peter Archer
is a modern-day visionary, a researcher with a technical and scientific background,
and the founder of New Millennium Essences.
Peter was born, and grew up, in Christchurch, New Zealand, and worked during his early adult years as
a telecommunications technician. In the 1980s, Peter was a pioneer in the fledgling PC
computer industry, in which he always was an innovator, never content with the status quo.
From the late 1980's, as he experienced a series of major crises in his life, and in his health,
Peter began searching for answers, and from 1991 he dedicated his life to the finding of the
answers to the “Big Questions”. His path on this quest has taken him
along many avenues, including formal training in several modalities besides flower essences,
including homeopathy and aromatherapy.
However, in 1992 he discovered Mary Garbely's
New Perception of New Zealand flower essences, and he was instantly enchanted,
resolving that flower essences were to be his major life's work.
Peter first trained in essences with Mary, then intensively studied Perelandra from Virginia, USA, and the
Living Essences of Australia from Western Australia. From his first contact with essences,
Peter has dedicated his life to this healing modality, using flower essences extensively to
support and facilitate his own spiritual, emotional and physical healing journey, and as a
practitioner helping many people.
New Millennium Essences grew from this journey. Right from 1992 when he first discovered
flower essences Peter began working intensively with essences from all around the world.
Then in 1996 he started making his own essences, just a
few at first, but from 1998 when he gave up his computer-industry employment to devote
himself full-time to this
work, the list of essences grew rapidly, and continues to grow. Peter is also the originator of
many new techniques in flower essence therapy, including the
Super-Essences,
On-Line Healing and

Peter is a triple Aquarian, with Sun, Moon and Mercury all conjunct in Aquarius, so he is well
suited to his place at the cutting edge of 21st Century systems-busting paradigm shifts. The New
Millennium products and services reflect his commitment to pushing out the boundaries
of humanity's understanding of disease, health and well-being, and human consciousness.
Peter has lived and worked in a number of areas of both the North and South Islands of New
Zealand, and currently resides on a six-acre organic permaculture property in North Otago.
During 2005, Peter trained in a different natural-healing modality, aromatherapy. With his Diploma in Aromatherapy, he is now a fully
qualified professional aromatherapist, as well as being a very experienced flower essence
practitioner.
Peter has now used his aromatherapist skills to put together a lovely range of
organic and wildcrafted essential oils.

Glenys Earle
is Peter's research partner in the development of new essences. She joined New
Millennium Essences as a full-time business partner in 2003.
Glenys is Australian, where she grew up in Melbourne. She has an Honours degree
in theoretical Physics, and a professional background in the computer industry, having
worked in many different roles over 20 years, with a specific focus on quality and
technical writing.
In her twenties Glenys travelled extensively around Asia, Europe and North America,
during that time living for over three years in Karlsruhe, Germany, where she learned the
German language and immersed herself in the German way of life.
After a series of health crises in the early 80s, Glenys began yoga classes at the
Gita International Yoga School
in Melbourne, Australia. This was the beginning of her life-long dedication to yoga,
and Glenys completed the demanding training as a teacher in the Gita method in
1997. She also studied at Gita's University of Light the related disciplines of
Meditation, Progressive Yoga Relaxation, Esoteric Wisdom and Soul Counselling.
Gradually during the 90s Glenys was drawn to New Zealand. She moved to Christchurch
in 1998, finding work in the thriving local computer software industry.
Apart from her full-time involvement in New Millennium Essences, Glenys is currently
studying the
13 Moon and
Mayan calendars, and Stephen Wolfram's
“A New Kind of Science”.
She also has keen interests in Esoteric Astrology, Geomancy and Permaculture.
Glenys has a Taurus Sun and Virgo Moon, bringing a grounded practicality and a passion
for quality to the New Millennium Essences project.
Right from joining Peter in the New Millennium Essences work, from early 2003, Glenys
demonstrated a very high aptitude for this work. One of her specialties is tree essences,
and she is very sensitive to the energies of nature.
Lisa Bruens
emigrated from NZ to the Blue Mountains, Australia in 2004. Parallelling Peter's journey with Essences, she became involved in the early part of the New Millennium Essence project with the research and development of new essences and their definitions and affirmations. Working extensively with New Millennium and a variety of global essences and combining her skills as a counsellor and energy healer, Lisa has worked as a therapist in Wellington and Waiheke Island. While she no longer has day to day involvement with the development of New Millennium Essences, her contribution at the foundation level has been invaluable to the inception and initial growth of these wonderful tools for transformation.
Lisa now works as a Transformational Therapist and utilises the healing power of New Millennium Essences and her new Middle Earth Essences, to assist emotional and cellular healing. She incorporates Theta Healing and her other skills to change false, outmoded beliefs and helps bring strength, clarity and peace to deal with the turmoil of modern life. Where are the New Millennium Essences made?
The New Millennium Essences are made in New Zealand, which is
an island nation in the South Pacific, its nearest neighbor being
Australia.
With a land area about the same as Great Britain, but a population of only
four million, New Zealand remains one of the largely
“unspoiled” countries
of the world.
The plants that grow here have a very powerful
“primal” type of energy, ideally suited for use in natural
healing.
Many of the New Millennium Essences were initially made
in the lower part of the North Island of New Zealand
(including Wellington, the Kapiti Coast, Whanganui and Hawkes Bay), and more recently in
South Island locations including Nelson, Golden Bay, Christchurch, North Otago, Dunedin, Invercargill
and Punakaiki on the West Coast; and also in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia.

How and why did the project happen?
The New Millennium Essences of New Zealand began in 1996, when Peter Archer
made his first flower essence. Peter and Lisa had trained as flower essence
practitioners from 1992,
and were using flower essences from a variety or sources, including
“Perelandra”
(Virginia, USA), “Living Essences” of Western Australia, Mary
Garbely's “New
Perception Essences of New Zealand”, and the Glastonbury (England) flower essences.
By early 1999, Peter and Lisa had made a total of 200 essences (this has since
grown to well over 800), and the shape and scope of the “New
Millennium Essence

From 2006, alongside our core business of our own flower essences, we have
also had our own range of organic and wildcrafted essential oils, which are
selected and bottled by Peter, using his knowledge and skills as a professional

Other people have been involved..... Vanda Prado from Brazil,
and Rosemary Adler on Waiheke Island, as well as contributions from
many co-workers, clients, and friends, from all over the world.
And, from early 2003, Glenys Earle joined in the work with Peter,
and since then has been a full-time business and professional partner in
New Millennium Essences.
We believe that we were “guided” into this
essence-making work, the many new innovations that we are pioneering,
and the setting up of this website, especially the
On-Line Healing self-help section of the website,
in order to fill a need for the healing of humanity in the 21st Century.
