Aromatherapy Workshop
Our experiential, self-empowering, aromatherapy workshop......
Our last aromatherapy workshop was in Christchurch, and was very successful.
We are currently busy on other work, like settling in to our new six-acre farm!
We have therefore not been doing any workshops during 2007, however we are currently
reviewing our workshop plans and deciding upon a new schedule,
and once we have decided our new workshop schedule,
details will be posted here on this page.
The following is general information regarding our aromatherapy workshops....
Each workshop is customized to the needs of the attendees,
with plenty of interactive participation, and it will be very much
a “hands-on” experience.
By participating in this workshop, you will learn that aromatherapy is so much more than just
lovely smells! You will learn basic skills for using essential oils as powerful therapeutic tools
to enhance the health and well-being of your life, and your family's life.
We will be looking at specific essential oils that you can use at home, for therapeutic and healing
purposes, including the following health-related issues:
-
Colds, flu, coughs, sore throats, winter illnesses, etc.
-
Stress and stress-related issues.
-
Tiredness and fatigue, staying alert and awake when you need to, and also.....
-
Insomnia, and the general topic of using essential oils to help relax in the evening, and to have a good night's sleep.
-
Child health and babies..... using essential oils for things like child hyperactivity, teething, illness, etc.
-
Accident and emergency issues, including cuts, bruises, sprains, burns, etc.
We will be looking at a number of specific essential oils and how to use them to great effect,
among them will be well-known old favourites like lavender and tea tree; and also some new oils
that you will not have heard of, like kunzea, fragonia, and helichrysum.
This workshop will be experiential, we will be actually doing some of the treatment techniques in the workshop,
and we will supply the essential oils needed for this work, from our own range of organic and wildcrafted essential oils,
as described on this webpage.
You will also receive a comprehensive manual that details all of the information taught in the workshop, plus a lot more.
You will come away from this workshop having learned basic skills in
using essential oils at home, for everyday health and emergency issues,
and with guidelines and suggestions for further study and reading.
This workshop is suitable for everybody, no previous knowledge or
experience is required. However, if you already have a basic knowledge of aromatherapy
and essential oils, you will also gain a lot from the workshop, as we will be covering
things like new oils that you will not have heard of, how to use them, and what they are used for.
This workshop is facilitated by Peter Archer, assisted by Glenys Earle.
Peter has a Diploma in Aromatherapy from the Canterbury College of Natural Medicine,
and both Peter and Glenys have many years experience as natural health practitioners
and teachers.
Please bring your own lunch, we will provide hot drinks for morning
and afternoon tea.
We will provide essential oils for use in the workshop, and any other
materials or equipment needed.
Please also bring note-taking materials,
and a willing heart and an open mind.
If you can manage to also bring a large plastic container to use as a foot-bath for yourself,
that would be great, however, this is not essential.
