Stone Essence
The wisdom of our ancestors.
Definition:
The ancient wisdom of our ancestors.....
The wisdom of intuitive “knowing”
that has been largely lost in modern times,
as the intellect aspect of our minds has
come to dominate at the expense of our
natural “knowingness”.
Over the winter and spring of 2001, I lived in a little house at
Foxton Beach, which is on the west coast of New Zealand's North
Island, about one and a half hour's drive north of Wellington, our
capital city.
Most days over the winter, I walked on the beach. I soon noticed
among the sand dunes near the beach there were many areas
which appear to have been used as rubbish dumps in years gone
by. Most of the rubbish has long since rotted away, but a large
amount of broken glass has been left on, and under, the sand.
I made it my personal project to pick up as much as possible of
this glass, and to deposit it in the glass recycling bins. During my
time at Foxton Beach, I spent many a happy hour on this task.
Occasionally, I would find a “treasure” in these old dumps.....
an old antique bottle, an old coin (see the
Old Penny essence for
an example), a special shell, or a special stone. The stone that this
essence is made with is one such.
As soon as I picked up this stone, I immediately
knew
what it was.
To me, in that moment, the energy of that stone was the energy of
the ancient “standing stones” that are found in sites all over the
world. To my eyes, this stone looked exactly like those monolithic
standing stones, and its energy shouted out at me the energy of
ancient wisdom.
