Flower Essence
Beta vulgaris
(variety “di Chioggia”)
Definition:
For people of the war generation who have
“gone underground”.
ie. they have shut down, being unable to process
the wartime trauma.
Includes civilians affected by the war experience,
and anyone affected by any form of warfare-induced
post-tramatic stress.
(Not genetically inherited, but can be emotionally/
mentally passed down the generations.)
For Feng Shui Land Healing:
Transmuting energies that are embedded in the land that are
energetic residue from people who have been on the land.
It is like the people have left behind little bits of themselves,
what can be called “aspects” of the self.
A flower essence, made 4 January 1999, from the flowers
of beetroot plants (variety “di Chioggia”) in
my vegetable garden at the Buchanan Street, Wadestown, house.
This is another of those very useful essences that I made
in the summer of 1998-99 from vegetables that I was letting go
through their full life-cycle of flowering and seeding in my garden.
I always was reluctant to pull out the vege plants as soon as they
began to go to seed. I believe that it is much healthier for the
overall balance of the garden to let all the plants (including some weeds!)
go through their complete life cycle.
And, as a bonus, the flowers of the veges are available for the making of essences!
I always feel a powerful energy whenever I read the definition of this essence.
It reminds me of all of the millions of people who have
been affected by the trauma of war, and, being unable to resolve
the post-traumatic stress, they have attempted to shut it down by
suppressing it.
You know how the juice of beetroot is red, the colour of blood?
Just like bloodstains, the stains of the beetroot juice are difficult
to remove.
Many of the men in my own family would have benefited from this
essence. My grandfather, who took to drink as his way of coping with
the horror of his memories of the trenches of Gallipoli and France in
WW-1. Several of my uncles who suffered from post-traumatic stress
for all of their lives following WW-2. They went off to war all bright-
eyed and bushy-tailed, and they came back carrying heavy loads of
unresolved trauma and stress. I think of them whenever I think of this
essence, and I energetically send each of them a bucket-full of it.
