Bloodstone
Gem Essence
Definition:
The essence of the courage of the heart.
To help the spiritual warrior transcend all fears
in the journey on the True Path, the path of
one's heart and spirit.
A gem essence, made 2 May, 2000, from a piece of
polished bloodstone crystal, at Clive, Hawkes Bay.
During that phase of my life, from April to November 2000,
over the winter months, it was a time of intense personal
growth and discovery for me.
The true nature and scope of what I call “The Project”
was beginning to be revealed in its many aspects,
including the ongoing development of the New Millennium
Essences, and the coming into its awesome power of the
“Energy-Alchemy”.
My partner of the time, Mari, had a copy of that wonderful
set of cards, the “Crystal Ally Cards”, and I would
occasionally draw a card for myself. For information on

On this day, I drew a card from the Crystal Ally Deck, and it
was the Bloodstone card. When I read the words in the
book, about what Bloodstone is for, it was just “perfect”
for where I was at in my life, and, I was immediately aware
that I was to make a gem essence from Bloodstone for
inclusion in the New Millennium Essences.
I did not have a piece of bloodstone, but a quick trip in to
the crystal shop in Napier soon remedied that, and within
a day the essence was made.
Over this winter of 2000, a number of gem essences were
made in Hawkes Bay, including
Labradorite,
Ruby,
Green Calcite,
Smoky Quartz,
and Jasper.
Nothing more needs to be said about the Bloodstone essence.....
the essence definition says it all.
