Flower Essence
Bougainvillea spectabilis
Definition:
For healing the emotional legacy of one’s
ancestral line, inherited through parents,
grandparents, etc.
Passed from generation to generation, along
with the legacy of our genetic makeup, there is
also a legacy of emotional energy and beliefs,
which we take on as being our own.
This essence frees us from the illusion bequeathed
us from our ancestral lineage.
For House Balancing (Feng Shui):
Cleanses and balances “old” energies in the house that
are left behind from past generations, ancestors, etc.
It is good to have these old energies in the house,
however, they should not be dominating or too powerful.
A flower essence, made 28 January 1999,
at Stone Pine Creek Lavender Farm, Te Horo,
north of Wellington.
Made from a very small plant, growing against
a wire fence, up the back of the property.
The essence definitely needed to be made from this
small plant, which had been propagated from its much
larger parent growing in a much more accessible site
in front of the house. But this small “child”
of a plant was the one that carried the exact energy to make
this powerful essence of generational legacy.
However, for most of the photographs I cheated,
I photographed the parent plant!
This issue of generational “stuff” is a really big
one for all of us.
The old attitude of “respect and
obey one's parents, no matter
what!” is no longer appropriate.
And, attitudes and beliefs from an earlier era are often of very little
use to us in these times of rapidly changing social customs.
However, along with all the inappropriate garbage, there is much
genuine wisdom to be learned from one's parents and grandparents.
Like all things, it is a matter of striking a healthy balance, and not
“throwing out the baby with the bath-water”.
