Convolvulus mauritanicus
Flower Essence
Convolvulus mauritanicus
(Bindweed)
Definition:
The bridesmaid, lady in waiting,
the wallflower.
Feeling like “Always the bridesmaid (or Best Man)
but never the bride (or groom)”.
The purple flowers signify the colour of the
bridesmaid's dress.
To resolve the feeling of being passed over.
Watching one's friends getting married, etc,
sitting on the sidelines. To resolve the feeling
of being passed over, when those around one are
getting married or into relationships.
To realise the greatest relationship in the
world is the one you have with yourself.
This essence assists with the realisation that
your source of love is within you, not in
another person.
Often specific to wanting to be in a committed
relationship (but not about the actual sex act).
Includes past-life issues.
For House Balancing (Feng Shui):
Provides the energetic balance to the house chi
of the type that is often provided by the presence
of a water feature, eg. a fountain.
In the practice of traditional Chinese Feng Shui,
a water feature is often placed in a particular area,
and this essence provides a similar energetic effect.
A flower essence, made 7 December 1997, from plants
growing in the garden at the house in Buchanan Street,
Wadestown, Wellington, where I was living.
Made again on 13 April 1998 at the same location.
This flower is one of my favourites. It flowers all summer long,
and there is something about the lovely violet flowers, so
neat and perfectly formed, that really appeals to me.
This issue of being “passed over” affects many
people in a wide variety of circumstances. As well as the
obvious, specific issue of wanting to be in a “commited”
romantic type relationship, there is the issue of being passed over
for promotion in the work setting, the child at school who feels
unnoticed by the teacher, and the various family relationship
type scenarios.
However, in the family setting of the “middle child syndrome”
there is also the
Lotus
essence which is more specifically for the
middle child type situation.
