Pinus Radiata
Flower Essence
Pinus radiata
Definition:
“Feeling like a square peg in a round hole.”
Feeling out of place (not an immigrant).
Trying unsuccessfully to conform, believing
one should be other than who one truly is.
Helps resolve feelings of disconnection.
Believing one is different, and therefore
unable to see the sameness.
A flower essence, made September, 1998, from
pine trees growing beside the North Track on
Mt. Kaukau, Wellington.
I had often climbed up this track to the top of Mt. Kaukau.
This was a special place for me, especially the little hill
where I took the flower-heads and made the essence.
I call this place my “Sacred Hill”,
and I would go there often to sit in the sun and meditate,
sometimes with an essence being made.
I just love the definition of this essence. The Pinus radiata
has a unique place in New Zealand, and the definition,
in my opinion, fits exactly how this poor, abused tree
must feel in this country.
It is planted in its millions
in straight rows, pruned to force it into an un-natural
(for it) straight-trunked growth pattern, and later cut down
just as it is reaching its prime.
At least some good has now come of this, from the making
of this essence. I just hope that the making of the essence
has assisted the tree in some way in the healing of its
trauma. (I am sure it has.)
I have found this essence to be most useful. It pops up frequently,
for all kinds of people with all sorts of issues.
It is the key essence
in the
Out of Place Super-Essence, for anyone who feels that they
do not belong, and also in the
Out of Time Super-Essence, for
when a person feels like they are living out their life in, for example,
the wrong era. Maybe with a longing to be back in the “good old days”,
maybe suffering from “future shock”. Or, for someone who feels
that he is “ahead of his time”, an unappreciated pioneer of new ideas.
Oh, how I personally know how this feels! Maybe I need a bucket-
full of this essence myself!
