Piripiri
Flower Essence
Acaena novae-zealandine
A New Zealand Native. Piripiri
is the Mãori name, Bidibid is
the common name in English.
Definition:
The forgiveness essence.
To allow the energy of forgiveness to enter our hearts
and dissolve the barbs that we have placed there
and projected onto others.
(Forgiveness of others, not of self).
A flower essence, made 27 January, 2000,
at the property in the Maungakotukutuku Valley
(in the hills east of the Kapiti Coast),
of my friends Andrew and Jean. I had wanted to make essences
in this lovely valley for a long time, and here was my chance,
while I was house-sitting for Andrew and Jean.
I saw the plants, with their little seed-head balls looking like tiny
hedge-hogs, during a walk up the track to the high hill at the west
of the property, on my very first evening there.
I went back a few days later to make the essence, and could not
find the plants! I had to search for half an hour or so to find them.
The essence is made from the seed-heads, which, as can be seen
from the photos, have lots of tiny little barbs that hook into one's
clothes and stick like glue.
