Primula obconica
Flower Essence
(violet colored flowers)
Definition:
To heal a broken heart, experiencing happiness
where there has been none. May be a neutral
state of indifference.
Not sad or unhappy - just indifferent.
For lightness, spring has come.
Even though the snow is covering it,
the seed is going to grow.....
Final verse from the song “The Rose”....
“Just remember, in the winter,
“Far beneath the bitter snow,
“Lies the field, that holds the sun's love.....
“That in the spring, becomes The Rose.”
A flower essence, Made August, 1996,
(exact date not recorded), from a single indoor plant.
This is one of the earliest essences that I made (the seventh).
For the details of these early days of the making of the New Millennium Essences,
refer to the section in the New Millennium Essences User Manual (On-Line version),
on “From
Small Beginnings”.
For a long time, I had no definition of this essence, but I was using
the essence a lot in my own healing.
When I eventually obtained the definition,
it fitted exactly with my personal circumstances at the time:
I was doing very deep healing work of relationship issues.
For details of this time of my personal story, in those winter days
of 1996, I suggest that you read the story of my life,
A Modern-Day Alchemist.
This beautiful little plant, from South-East Asia, has lovely violet
flowers (there are also varieties
with white and with pink flowers).
The plant stays in flower almost all the year round. I had this
plant sitting on my desk in the sun all through 1996 and 1997,
continuously in flower.
I am sure that the energy from the flowers
helped me a lot as I went through a period of very deep personal
healing. (Even now, with all these issues resolved, just looking at
the words of the definition brings tears to my eyes.)
When my plant finally died, it was like losing a close friend, but.....
I still have the essence! “Thank-you, Primula obconica.”
I had neglected to record the name of the plant,
when I bought it
from the nursery, and for a long time the essence bottles were
labeled “Violet Flower Plant”.
But then one day I saw hundreds
of them, in the glasshouse at the Wellington Botanic Gardens!
