Flower Essence
Definition:
For “women who love too much”.
The “Al Anon essence”.
The woman (or man) who finds herself in a relationship
(usually abusive in some way), where she just cannot
walk away.
Trapped by the illusion of love, which is actually emotional
dependency.
Includes the “alcoholic marriage”, and all forms of abusive
relationship.
A flower essence, made 3 July 2002, from the dark red
roses in the memorial garden at the Karori Cemetery, Wellington.
The Karori Cemetery is very large, covering many acres, dating back
over a hundred years, and many of the graves are overgrown with
wildflowers, although this essence is made from roses growing in
the main memorial garden.
This essence could be described as the “fatal attraction” essence.
The person that this essence is for helping is caught in a trap.... the
trap of emotional dependency masquerading as love.
Time and again the cycle repeats.... hopes are dashed again and
again. Often, the abuser promises to change, and, often against her
better judgment, she agrees to give him one more chance.
But always, her hopes are dashed. Yet, does she now walk away?
Usually not. She stays on the treadmill of dissappointment and
despair, hoping against hope that “this time” will be different.
This flower essence is to help those who are finally ready to make
the big break, to actually dare to walk away, and to change whatever
it is within themselves that has held them in this pattern, so that truly
never again will they ever find themselves caught in this trap of
dependency masquerading as love.
