A flower essence, Made 29 March, 1999 with the tiny
white flowers of this plant that grows prolifically in the
bush on the lower slopes of Mt. Kaukau, Wellington.
This plant is a very common ground-cover plant
in many areas of the New Zealand bush.
It is interesting that this “Wandering Jew” flower essence
was made a few days before Easter, which means that it was made in the
week of the Jewish “Passover”. At the time of making
the essence, I did not make the connection, and only very recently
(October 2002) realised the significance of the date.
The flowers are so small, that I had difficulty in getting close
enough with my camera to capture a good close-up of the flower.
I use an Olympus OM-1 camera, with a macro zoom lens, which
is easy and quick to use and adequate for 95 per-cent of my
needs. This was one of the other 5 per-cent! If I ever need a top
quality photo of this flower (eg. for a set of photo cards),
I will have to photograph it again, with fancier equipment.
I had always confused the Wandering Jew with the similar looking
Periwinkle, but now that I have made an essence from both of
these plants, I can tell the difference at a glance.
My essence making has had a spin-off benefit for my botany.
This is a very powerful essence, useful for anyone who is
under the spell of any type of relationship illusion.
