Looking out from the deck on the north side of our house, into our “Cottage Garden”. In the foreground you can see our potatoes and pumpkins, in the middle there is an area with marigolds, allysum and daikon radish, and towards the far corner there are some herbs coming along nicely.

Considering that in the spring of 2007 this whole area was grass and weeds, and by March 2008, when this photo was taken, it was transformed into what you see here, is a great tribute to the many people who worked on the project, especially the wonderful “Wwoofers” (stands for willing workers on organic farms), all of whom made a significant contribution.
