This is our house viewed from the road. The house is orientated really well to the north, and all the rooms get all-day sun, as does the deck that runs almost the full length of the house.

The road has hardly any traffic, as it serves only a tiny handful of farms. We will be planting trees, or a hedge, along the road frontage, and the whole area in front of the house will become a large cottage-garden, with herbs, wild-flowers, bushes, perennials, and maybe even a pond.
