Looking from the ranch-slider door through the lounge towards the kitchen. On the extreme left is the opening into the entrance foyer, and you can see into the pantry. The log-fire, on the right, is serving as a temporary resting place for many of the little bits and pieces that we are installing in the house, like extra coat hangers, new light fittings, etc.

The glowing lamp on the kitchen bench is one of our salt crystal lamps. We have one in each room, and they are wonderful for generating negative ions and creating a nice energy.
