The large farm sheds. Click to go on to next picture

The row of large farm-sheds, the long shed from the left side is the shearing shed, which is also an awesomely large storage shed, with room to park a large vehicle under cover, plus tons of other storage space. The higher part of the sheds is the farm workshop, and then off to the right, obscured by trees and the well pump-house, there is a row of small sheds, all joined together in one long building.

These sheds have electric power and low-pressue water. concrete floors and iron roof. They are very solidly built, and as well as the shearing shed and large workshop, there is also a small chicken-house, a small animal- rearing shed, a small store-room and a small sleepout or office type room (not a legal bedroom).

In front of these sheds there are yards for farm animals, with drafting gates and a loading ramp for sheep. We have converted the larger yard to a large vegetable garden, which we have surrounded with a rabbit-proof fence. This garden is extremely well sheltered from winds, with the sheds on its south side, a hedge on the east side, and the sheds extending to the west, and pump-shed, protecting the south-west. (This photo was taken before we dug up the grass to make the yard into a garden.)
