Another view of last season's leeks. They provided us with much good eating all winter and spring,
and these ones will soon provide seed for next year's leeks. A personal favourite of mine is our leek
and potato soup, which is great for lunch on a cold winter's day.
Against the fence are some of our winter carrots, and to the right of the leeks our main tomato bed.
Our vegetable garden is quite “wild”, in that we allow some so-called weeds to grow,
and we find that this makes for a happier and healthier garden than if there was just the vegetable
plants and bare earth.
