Many people have been affected by the stress of warfare. Not just the men and
women who were involved in the actual fighting, but also the civilians who were
affected in various ways. It is only in recent times that we have become aware of
the full affects of this legacy of warfare, and of how important it is that people who
are affected by it be correctly diagnosed and given appropriate assistance to heal.
